Allen Iverson said that he would rather retire than be a full-time reserve. Iverson made it clear that he will not return to the Pistons next season if he is a bench player. Iverson has averaged 17.4 points in 54 games with the Pistons. He would not talk about his playing time Wednesday after scoring four points on one of eight shooting. Iverson also sat on the Pistons bench with his jersey off until he got back into the game. Do you believe that there is any future for Allen Iverson and the Pistons?
No I don't think there is any future because Allen Iverson is so unhappy on the bench and the only way for them to keep Iverson is to go back to the old lineup. By having Iverson staring and having Richard Hamilton back as a sixth man. That is the only possible way I see them keeping Iverson or at least having him stay on the team for another year or so.
ReplyDeleteI don't see Iverson staying around the Pistons. He has ruined the chemistry of the team even more after the trade for Billups. I think they should trade him or get one of the top guards coming out of college, like Ty Lawson, unless he ends up going high in the draft.
